Today is the Feast of St. Thomas Becket

Master Francke, “Mocking of St. Thomas of Canterbury,” 1426 (photo: Public Domain)
Editor's Note: Of all the visual representations found for St. Thomas Becket, this one was the most inspiring. His gesture gives a sort of "talk to the hand" attitude and it was one of the few renderings that did not show a sword stuck in his head.

Annual Meeting
Sunday, January 25
Immediately Following Service
We have three vestry seats for which we need an election. Tracy Dickey has filled the final months of Nadia Greenidge’s term and is eligible for election for her own three-year term; Ruth Schroeder is completing her first term and has agreed to seek reelection; Nancy Bigwood has completed her full two thee year terms, therefore ineligible to seek reelection until she has been off one year. The Vestry is actively working to select a candidate(s) willing to serve for three years. If you are interested, please let Doreen Gauthier know.

Prayer List Updates
If you requested your name or the name of a loved one to be included in the Pocket Prayer List, please be mindful that our standard policy for those who are Ill or Distressed is four weeks of publication, unless circumstances require in perpetuity.
As we enter both a new month and a New Year, please review those individuals for whom special intentions are still being sought and inform the church office. Unless you confirm a continuation at the end of four weeks, names will be deleted. We gladly welcome prayer requests and prayers are always available.
