Early Friday morning, February 6th, an individual or individuals systematically violated our church campus. Dismantled the FPL meter, snapped the lock from the central breaker panel leaving the entire west buildings with no power, gained entry into the Thrift Shop and church kitchen, opened cabinets and drawers including parish nurse’s supplie. Using a heavy tool, smashed the impact window in parish administrator’s office allowing for a search of files, cabinets, and our safe. After destruction of the combination lock on the safe, lifted the door and removed all money pouches. Estimated amount of cash lost is $5000. We are thankful no staff or school personnel were injured but, none-the-less, BSO has been informed that should their investigation yield the culprit, we will prosecute.
A deep thanks to Olivia Drakes, Junior Warden, Bob Reid, sexton; Jack Gillis, Holy Grill/Provisions manager; Sue Giordano, bingo coordinator and Tricia Blair, parish administrator for all their assistance to the police and to facilitate cleaning and repair.
Before I left the parish hall following coffee hour, I was approached by a number of individuals, who wish anonymity, with offers of cash exceeding $2,000. THANK YOU ALL! This is what makes this parish family so special—this is the salt Fr. Roger spoke lovingly about in Sunday’s sermon.

| Written by Sr. Monica Clair, recently featured here on eNews, the 2026 meditations offer an invitation to rediscover—or deepen—holy habits of prayer, worship and engagement with Scripture. These "holy habits" provide a path to a life that is given shape, meaning and direction by being rooted in a deeper relationship with God.

New Ministry
Birthday Card and Message of Support
The Birthday Card and Message of Support Ministry continue to be a meaningful outreach within our church community. Through this ministry, birthday cards are sent to church members to acknowledge and celebrate them, and messages of encouragement are provided to those who are sick or facing difficult times. Each card/letter includes a small token gift as a reminder that they are remembered, valued, and prayed for by their church family. These simple acts of kindness help strengthen connections and offer comfort, especially to those who may feel isolated.
At this time, the ministry is coordinated and carried out solely by Denise Silvestri. In order to ensure birthdays are recognized, Denise will be collecting members’ birth month and day (no year required). This information will be used only for ministry purposes and handled with care. The continued goal of this outreach is to share God’s love in personal, tangible ways and to let each recipient know they are not forgotten.
