And another new week begins!
March 23, 2026
On this date in history, 1775, Patrick Henry urged the Virginia Provincial Convention to prepare for war against Britain with his famous, "Give me liberty, or give me death!" speech. For the full speech, click here.
Patrick Henry was a devout, lifelong Anglican (later Episcopalian) whose faith profoundly influenced his political views, including his dedication to religious liberty and morality. Influenced by the First Great Awakening and evangelical preaching, he supported religious tolerance as a means to build a prosperous nation.

Patrick Henry's 1775 "Give me liberty, or give me death!" speech, depicted in an 1876 lithograph by Currier and Ives now housed in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

Announcing a Change in Online Giving
The next time you visit our website, StNicholasFL.org, check out the new format for submitting online donations. Under "Giving" at the navigation menu, click "Donate" to see the new software. You will need to create a login the first time you make a donation. St. Nicholas is now using ChurchTrac.com to manage our member data and will utilize several other organizational tools offered with this software. You can also reach the Giving > Donation page directly at:
StNicholasEpiscopal.churchtrac.com/give
or by scanning this QRCode:

If you have been making automatic donations with FaithStreet on a weekly or monthly basis, you will need to set that up with ChurchTrac. And be sure to login to FaithStreet to discontinue your online giving with that platform. Every new practice comes with a learning curve and it will take a little time to become accustomed to this new format. However, all will be well because
When we Episco-pull together,
we Angli-can do anything!

for email daily meditations.
| Written by Sr. Monica Clair, recently featured here on eNews, the 2026 meditations offer an invitation to rediscover—or deepen—holy habits of prayer, worship and engagement with Scripture. These "holy habits" provide a path to a life that is given shape, meaning and direction by being rooted in a deeper relationship with God.
